Came to Da Li, partly because it was in the midway to Li Jiang, and partly because of the depicts of Da Li Empire in 天龙八部. The foods are exotic, fresh and cheap! Cang Shan Mountain hiking is fun, you must be brave to climb on the half-meter width staircase to the Dragon-Eye Cave with sheer cliff exposed on one side, without any handrail. The round lake tour provides good opportunity to see the ordinary life. Da Li old town has lost its original ambience, replaced with the chaotic tourist scenes. The city wall remains sturdy.
