20050828 CHINA - Hua Shan

The trip to the 2160m high Hua Shan was frustrated by the overnight rain. The thick fog blanketed the mountain top and not one view could be seen. Tourists are normally advised to start hiking in the late night for several reasons sake – to watch the glimmering sunrise over sea of clouds in the early morning, not observing the hazard and dangers of the surround on the way up (would be less frightening). There are several paths accessible by climbing on the almost vertical staircase! Hua Shan is definitely fun for those adventure seekers. Some scenic spots are located on the sheer cliff, their access ways are absolute thrilling. Would be a good challenge in Fear Factor series.
