Surrounded by a completely intact 6km Ming Dynasty city wall, Pingyao is an exceptionally well-preserved traditionally Han Chinese city offering a rare glimpse into the architectural styles and town planning of imperial China. Some old houses are used as museums displaying the original set up of ancient bank, pawn shop, court, police station, prison etc. Cycling around on the city wall was fun to see the city from different views.
