Lake Tana is Ethiopia's largest lake, there are monasteries established on some 20 of its 37 islands. Arranged a boat trip, Bir 125, to visit Ura Kidane Meret (some nice painting), Kebran Gabriel (only for men), Debre Maryam (not impressive). Admission Bir 20 for each monastery. ½ day tour. There is nothing else to see in Bahar Dar except visiting Lake Tana.
