Laos is not much developed yet, that’s probably the reason attracting many tourists to enjoy the serene and relaxing atmosphere here. The capital city Vientiane is so quiet and it exhibits a complete different image to the neighbouring Thailand. I made this trip together with Simon L and Sheryl T. We stayed overnight at Nong Khai (Thai border town) and crossed the border to Laos the next day. Fairly easy to organize transportation and accommodation.
